Once upon a time in the township of Alexandra, there was a bustling city of rats called RatAlex. At the heart of RatAlex lived the chief of all the rats, a wise and clever rat named Babarat.

Babarat was highly respected by all the rats for his intelligence and cleverness. He would gather the young rats around him to share stories of his adventures and survival in the streets of Alexandra. His tales were always fascinating, sometimes even a bit scary, but they taught important lessons. Babarat would guide his fellow rats on how to stay safe when venturing into the township where humans lived. He advised them to go out at night when most people were sleeping and to always be cautious of cars when crossing the roads. Sadly, some rats didn't heed Babarat's warnings and went out during the day, never to return. But those who followed Babarat's instructions and ventured out at night would return to RatAlex safely.

Among the curious young rats was Gundwanyana, a rat filled with curiosity and a desire to be like Babarat. One day, driven by his curiosity, Gundwanyana climbed out of the rat hole and peeped at the people walking in the township. He remembered the stories Babarat had shared and couldn't resist exploring further. As he ventured closer to a group of children happily playing and singing, they noticed him and started throwing stones, shouting, "Gundwane! Gundwane!" Filled with fear, Gundwanyana ran away, losing his way back to RatAlex. He found refuge near the river, hiding in the tall grass, scared and desperate to return home.

As the sun began to set, Gundwanyana cautiously emerged from the grass and started making his way back to the streets. He kept a keen eye out for cars and listened carefully for any signs of people. Whenever he heard footsteps or voices, he would hide in the shadows, trembling with fear. Hunger gnawed at his belly after going without food all day, but the aroma of delicious food drew him towards an open door of a shack. Inside, there was a pot on the stove filled with tempting food. Gundwanyana attempted to climb and peek into the pot, but accidentally knocked the lid, creating a loud noise. The people in the shack woke up, shouting, "Gundwane! Gundwane!" Frightened, Gundwanyana swiftly fled towards the Alexandra stadium. He climbed to the top, hoping to find a vantage point to locate the rat hole that led back to RatAlex. Finally, his memory kicked in, and he remembered the location of the hole. He climbed down from the stadium and raced towards it, driven by a deep longing to return home.

On his way, Gundwanyana caught a whiff of something delicious coming from a dustbin. He jumped in and found a tasty piece of food known as kota, which he devoured quickly. Energized, he emerged from the bin and continued running until he reached the rat hole. With relief and joy, he made his way back to RatAlex. The young rats eagerly gathered around Gundwanyana as he recounted his incredible survival story in the streets of Alexandra, marveling at his bravery and resilience.
